A man, his wife, and eldest son died while four of his other children were injured when a dynamite exploded inside their home in Zamboanga City early Tuesday, police said.
Senior Supt. Edwin de Ocampo, city police director, identified the fatalities as Agsali Subbaani, his wife Jannuka, and 17-year-old son Pansidal.
The couple’s other children, Pasig, 11; Puja, 9; Goa-goa, 7; and Singa, 10, suffered injuries on the different parts of the body and are now being treated at the Zamboanga City Medical Center, De Ocampo said in a text message.
The explosion occurred around 1 a.m. at Purok 4, Brgy. Rio Hondo.
Before the incident, Agsali and his wife were reportedly having an argument and the latter threatened to leave, De Ocampo said.
“In the course of their argument, the husband allegedly took out a dynamite, lit it, until it exploded,” the police official said. (John Roson)
