Three people, including a couple facing drug charges, got killed while another was injured when ambushed by armed men after attending a court hearing in Nasugbu, Batangas, Thursday, police said.
Spouses Felipe and Lydia Torio, as well as their driver Arnold Dulay, died on the spot, according to an initial report from the Batangas Provincial Police.
Alejandro Torio, a “helper” of the couple, was brought to the Apacible Hospital because of bullet wounds on the different parts of the body.
The incident occurred at Sitio Sagbat, Brgy. Lumbangan, around 12:30 p.m. after the Torios attended a hearing on their drug cases the Nasugbu Regional Trial Court Branch 14, the report said.
About four bonnet-wearing gunmen on a still undetermined type of four-wheeled vehicle shot the victims, according to the report.

Felipe and Lydia, both 55 years old, were among 19 people arrested last November 11, when police operatives raided several houses in Roxas Village, Brgy. Lumbangan.
Members of the provincial police’s Intelligence Branch, Investigation and Detective Managament Branch, and Public Safety Company, as well as the Nasugbu Police, Calabarzon Regional Intelligence Unit, and Public Safety Battalion carried out the raid.
