A 63-year-old woman drowned while two other people went missing when a boat loaded with tourists capsized in Lake Mainit, in Jabonga, Agusan del Norte, Tuesday afternoon, a civil defense official said.

Blanche Gobenciong, director of the Office of Civil Defense-Caraga, identified the fatality as Malucina Mahilum, and the missing, Antonette Sebian, 36, and Kris Anthony Alimpus, 10.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. while the three, along with 25 other guests of the Casili Lakeside Resort in Mainit town, were sight-seeing in Lake Mainit on board the M/B Lake Cruiser.

The boat capsized in waters near Sitio Sibayunga, Brgy. Bunga, Jabonga.

Policemen of Jabonga and local fishermen rescued the 25, of whom one, identified as Susan Janle Beldimisa, was injured and is now confined at the hospital, Gobenciong said in her report.
